We will be using the Broadway font in our opening scene as it goes with our theme of a futuristic sci-fi look. It looks something like this . We will be using the colors green and black with a sort of glowing effect for our titles throughout the opening scene depending on whether the background is lighter or darker at certain parts. This will set the mood of the beginning of the movie giving off futuristic and mysterious vibes. The size of the font will be big enough to fill most of the screen but not too big that it will completely cover what is going on behind. The purpose is to show the audience who were involved in the making of our film without drawing too much attention away from what is going on behind. Our working title is Hide and Seek although it may change in the future. The titles will enter and leave the screen through simple animations that also add to the strangeness and mystery of the opening scene. MIB International 1.How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones?        4 Titles are displayed of the movie producers to open up the film and the actual title of the film. These titles were Columbia Pictures, Sony, and P+M Image Nation. The movie opens by introducing all of the producing companies that were involved with the creation of this film   2. What connotations do the images carry? The music in the background fits well with the feel of the pictures as well   3. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? (Can you tell what genre the film is)   I can tell what the genre is the way the movie is opened.  Star Wars: The Last Jedi The movie that I watched was “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” it is in the Sci-fi genre. During the opening scene, all the people who helped with the production of the movie were included. In this is the casting designers, make-up artist, etc. The way these titles were printed on the opening scene was very subtle. This was good because I saw them, but they did not take my attention away from the background. There were a few different images in the opening scene. These images are not still but slightly moving. These photos are of all planets. This entices me to want to watch the whole movie. The images were all in space and had yellow writing in the background explain. This writing showed the past. As if it is setting up the movie by explaining the devastating things that have happened in the past. This is done extremely well as the images flip from one to one. It helps establish a sci-fi feeling by including objects that are not normal to Earth. This includes extra-
