A Tough Day to Film
Today on December 7th, my group and I decided to begin the filming process. Filming is the most important component of this project and it was important that my group had this time to film so that we could be ahead in the making of our music video. My group and I began by filming scenes 5 and 6 as the weather had been poor for most of the day and the sky had finally cleared. It was necessary for the project that this scene was filmed outside and the rain did not permit this for most of the day. Though as soon as the skies cleared, the filming process had begun. Cayden McTighe was our main camera man and he filmed most of the music video while I was the main actor. In these scenes, my life is being relived as I am getting ready to pass away. Multiple shots and angles were taken for all of the scenes to be safe and ensure that there were backups in case we did not like a certain shot that had looked good beforehand. Personally, I loved being on camera so I did not mind reshooting scenes multiple times. After scenes 5 and 6 were finished, we moved on to scenes 1 and 2. These scenes were vital as they supply the first view of the music video. Timing worked out perfectly in our favor as well as it had just begun to rain again and the next 2 scenes were to be shot indoors. In these scene, I lay in bed as my group mates Ely and Luke cry over me as I am passing away. This scene took quite a while to film as it took Ely and Luke many tries to look as if they were crying. Though after about 8 tries, we had a good shot. The next several hours were spent filming other parts of the music video and the plan is to finish filming tomorrow. We looked over the film and decided to call it a day. Overall, it was a very productive day and a lot got done.
