Production Blog: A day of music

 Today for our final task, we worked on making progress in music choice in order to advance with our project. Music is very important in our project and we want to make sure that we have the right music that will both fit with our project and engage the audience. We spent most of the day researching different genres of music and looking through different artists and albums that we believed would fit with our project. After finding a kind of music that we liked best, we began picking a few songs that would be the best for our project. After settling on a few songs, we then made sure that we would have the proper rights to use the music for our project. This involved reaching out with publishing companies to ask about their policies and talking with artists assistants to ask for rights. Right now we're waiting for them to respond. In the meantime, we looked at some royalty free music that could act as a substitute to our music choices in case things did not go as planned. We yet again settled on a few songs and were satisfied with our choices. Overall, it was a pretty successful day as there was not much to do and we got done what we had planned to get done. We plan on hearing back from the artists soon and will begin implementing the music into our project.
