Production Blog: Back to Filming

Today we were able to continue the filming of our final task. Me and my group congregated after school today at our filming location. The place we filmed today is Cayden's house as the backyard offered a setting that we most wanted to utilize. Next, we set up our set outside and prepared to film. We made sure that all of our camera angles and lighting was set up properly before beginning the filming process. Then, we took our places and began to film. Cayden was behind the camera while me, Luke, and Ely were acting on set. We picked off where we left off and started filming the 3rd scene where we begin playing the game of hide and seek. We use long shots to show the whole area that we are in and tracking shots to track each person and where they are hiding. We change the lighting depending on where each person is hiding and use close shots to show expressions and feelings. This scene took a while to film as there was a lot going on at once and a lot to make sure got fit in in a small amount of time. We spent a while filming the scene multiple times over and over again tweaking things that we thought were wrong or could be better. Finally when we thought we had a good amount of quality footage we reviewed it and decided we had enough to call it a day. We wrapped up our set and all headed home. This was a big step in the filming process and I am very happy we were able to get it done today. Next we will try and piece together the scenes we have to see what needs to be done next to .begin finishing our project.
