Production Blog: Finally Finished
Today we have finally finished our final task. For the past 2 months, me and my group have been continuously working on our final task project. We spaced out what we needed to do in order to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible, and made sure we had enough time to produce a very solid film. Taking time to plan and research before we began filming also helped immensely with creating our film. We spent the first few weeks planning on where our film would take place, what it would be about, and what genre it would be. After landing on a genre and planning out a location to film, we began researching films similar to what we had planned and scoped out what we wanted our film to look like. After this, we created the storyboard and looked for music that we could incorporate into our film. Lots of time and planning went into the film before we actually started filming. After finishing the planning process, we began filming at our location which ended up being my house and basing what we did in the film on what we had planned. This made things go faster and was a lot easier for us. We had made sure everything was perfect every scene including lighting, sound quality, video quality, and choreography. If a scene was not filmed to our standards, we re-filmed it and kept doing this until we had the perfect one. After doing this with all the scenes, we began the editing process. During the process, we made sure that every clip smoothly transitioned between each other and that it all made sense and was in order. Next, we implemented our music and had were close to a final product. I had my friends dad review the film before we decided that it was complete and he gave us a few tips on how we could make it better. Using his tips, we went back to edit the music and sound effects, which were two of his main critiques. After running it by him another time as well as others, we seemed to get a resounding approval. This process was long and tedious, but I am so happy with the end result and what I have learned throughout the process. My skills with groups as well as in production and creation of a film have greatly improved and I had fun doing it.
