Genre Research Blog: Action

Common camera angles and shots in Action: Tracking shot, medium shot, close up, extreme close up, wide angle, tracking angle, and high angle.

Common Mis-En-Scene in Action: Fast cars, explosions, props such as weapons, use of violent actions and gore, disguises such as masks, and sunglasses.

Common edits in Action: Use of VFX, increase of shutter speed, jump cuts, and cross cuts

Common sounds used in Action: Loud bangs, car changing gears, yelling voices, punch sound effect, and loud footsteps.

Some common films in the Action genre include Die Hard, Baby Drivers, Avengers, King Kong, and The Equalizer.

Some aspects of this genre that I like and would use are fast cars and the sound of a car changing gears as I think it would look cool as well as advanced and make our film more entertaining. We could also use masks and disguises for the bank robbery scenes as that would be a fun aspect to add to our film.

I do not like and would not like to include explosions as I do not think it would fit within a movie about a bank robbery.
