Production Blog: So it begins!

  This is it! Today marks the start of my production process and me and my group could not be more excited. After all of the weeks of planning and research it is finally time to begin the production of my film. Me and my group plan to spend the day buying props and costumes for our film as well as any other equipment we may need for filming. Props help give a film a realistic image and are used to replace expensive or unrealistic items in a film. Costumes are what actors wear in a film and are used to adapt to situations in the film to make it seem more realistic. I started off by making a list of what we needed such as glasses for our costumes and fake money as one of our props. After this, I decided which stores I would hit up that would have most of what I needed all in one place. I started my adventure at party city which is well known for having lots of costumes and props that I would need. As I looked around, I realized a lot of what we needed was very specific and could not really find it around the store. I asked around but it seemed like what I needed was not there. I left with little to nothing and decided to move on to my local grocery store. Here I also did not find much and decided that it would probably be best if I just looked for the necessary things I needed online as I could pinpoint exactly what to get. Overall, it was not a very productive day but me and my group had to start somewhere, and I am just glad that we have started to move things along.
